Flavours on Stage: Theatre, Myth, and Togetherness in Nissoria

8 July 2025

On Monday, July 7, Nissoria hosted the Geo-Event “Flavours on Stage”, organized by Si.M.Geo – Ecomuseum System of the Rocca di Cerere UNESCO Global Geopark, in collaboration with the GAL Rocca di Cerere Geopark.

This original experience intertwined performing arts, mythological storytelling, and the promotion of local agro-food heritage, offering an engaging journey designed for families and younger generations.

An Afternoon of Myth and Creativity
The afternoon began at the Ancescao Center with a theatre workshop for children aged 8 to 13, led by Dario Scarpati. Centered around the theme “Myth and Cultivation”, the workshop offered an expressive space to explore the cultural roots of the region through the language of theatre.

In the evening, following institutional greetings from the Municipality of Nissoria and the Rocca di Cerere UNESCO Global Geopark, attendees took part in a dinner accompanied by the theatrical performance “Flavours on Stage”—a surprise show that transformed the shared meal into an immersive artistic experience.

A Format that Connects Community and Territory
“Flavours on Stage” was a meaningful moment of intergenerational sharing, where storytelling, food culture, and local identity came together in an event designed to foster a sense of belonging and strengthen the bond between communities and the landscapes they inhabit.
